Bruce S. Dilenschneider is a Connecticut-based abstract painter working in acrylic and mixed media on canvas. His practice centers on dimensional layering — each work built through multiple stages of material application, some canvases carrying seven or more layers of paint, texture, and medium before reaching resolution. The result is painting that operates spatially, its surface as much architecture as image.

The work is intuitive and process-driven. There is no preliminary sketch, no fixed plan. Each canvas evolves through accumulation — color laid down, built upon, partially obscured, recovered. Some works develop over days or weeks. The process determines the outcome.

Dilenschneider's paintings have been exhibited in the United States and Europe, with institutional recognition from the Museum of Sanok in Poland and a collections review at the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw. The work has appeared in Artist Closeup Magazine and Novum Artist Magazine, and has been shown at the Loft Artists Association in Stamford, CT, Carriage Barn Arts Center in New Canaan, CT, Galleria Dantebus Margutta in Rome, and Medina Gallery in Rome.

The artist does not attend openings or public events. The work is represented exclusively by S&B Galleria / SMHD Galleries.
