I create art as a way of translating emotion, memory and cultural identity into a visual language. My work is deeply influenced by Romanian folklore, archaic symbolism and the quiet beauty of traditional life, but I reinterpret these references through a contemporary, highly personal perspective. Rather than reproducing folk motifs literally, I am interested in their emotional residue — the feeling of something ancient resurfacing through gesture, colour and intuition. Painting is also a process of discovery for me. I often begin instinctively, allowing unexpected forms, faces and narratives to emerge from the work itself. I am drawn to the space between abstraction and figuration, and to the idea that a painting can communicate something before it can be fully explained in words. I would like to sell my work on Artfinder because I value platforms that connect independent artists directly with collectors who are genuinely interested in original art and the story behind it. I want my paintings to travel beyond my studio in Bucharest and become part of private spaces and collections around the world, while continuing to build meaningful relationships with people who respond to my artistic universe.
