Hi, my name is Alexander Shvyrkov. 

I am 47. I live in Russia. 

I studied art in my youth  in a couple of private art schools. However, later I quit painting and devoted myself to science and philosophy (PhD in philosophy).

About 8 years ago I felt the desire for art again. Perhaps because of tough times I had. This tough period ended but I did not stop engaging in painting, drawing, sculpture. Thank God!

Like many artists I began from figurative art. However, soon I realized that it is not enough for me to just portray what already exists. So I came to abstract painting (you can see my evolution as an artist over the last 8 years in my store).

I think that only abstract art provides maximum freedom for creativity, allowing the artist to show his or her real soul.

My works are in private collections in the USA, Great Britain, Russia, Canada, Netherlands, Hong Kong.
