About Alex Cassels
Biography
I studied Photography, Film & TV at Plymouth College of Art & Design in Devon, which introduced me to the world of animation. To complement my animation work between productions, I was able to pursue my photography through picture sales and commissions for travel brochures & hotels.
My love for the natural world and wild places has led me to visit dramatic scenery in the United States, New Zealand in particular as well as closer to home in Europe. Image composition and a sense of perspective are the key ingredients to what I do; helping to put the viewer in the frame to feel the environment and thus creating a sense of 'being there'.
In addition to my passion for landscape & travel based photography, I am broadening my range to include architecture work and portraits. I currently have a collection of about 80 images available as A2 sized limited edition prints here at Artfinder. I have wider collections of images available from my personal website and elsewhere which are not included here so please feel free to contact me.
I am currently based near Paris in France.
