Portrait of British fashion designer Zandra Rhodes.
After a project consisting of paintings with limited colour, I wanted to paint someone bright and colourful, and this lady came to mind.
I love the clashing colours, there's nothing toned down about Zandra, and I lover her for that.
I have given her a background that is a take on her squiggly line fabric design, and have added gold acrylic for the pattern so that the kaleidoscope is enhanced even further with metallics.
She is unframed but the edges are painted deep purple.
Signed both back and front.
Zandra will be shipped in a hardboard package.
