Artist's description:

Yoghurt Counter Culture #1 -Psychedelia, is inspired by a joke made by Louise Pirrotta upon our Artists' Forum; to paraphrase, that to find culture you have to buy some yoghurt. After further discussion (& some silliness regarding the pronunciation of "yoghurt", for which I must take some blame), Boris Novak proposed that we make statements upon culture with the only rule being a connection with yoghurt. Yoghurtarianism is now a fast-growing culture in it's own right. My creation is a celebration of one of my favourite cultures, Counter Culture; it is expressed in many ways, but I've chosen to represent a song by Jefferson Airplane, one of the great counter-culture groups of the 1960s. As yoghurt is a processed food, I have employed different processes to usual (which has been a large part of the fun of the project for me). Yoghurtarianism's also been quite amazing as a phenomenon within our community, promoting great inclusiveness and even forming new friendships. I will miss this collage when I sell it! THIS WORK IS AWAITING RESIN APPLICATION -NEW PHOTOGRAPHS WILL BE PUBLISHED IN THE NEXT FEW DAYS.
