Yellow Ocean Star - Kusama (2026) Original Acrylic Painting by Egle Colucci

It is a small painting inspired by coral reef fish after a trip to Brazil. However, the painting is only a small part of the piece, as the frame draws much more attention. The frame is made from papier-mâché; it is firm, covered in joint compound, and finished with several layers of paint and a shiny varnish. At the back, there are different options for hanging the artwork, but I prefer the side where a fish tail looks like a person's portrait.

I have called it "Kusama" because of the dots.
