£980

Fascinated by the revelation of such rich yellows set against the dormancy of winter, I tried to capture these colours in this piece about daffodils. My Mum had visited and brought with her a big bunch of daffodils. I drew them extensively but then wanted to explore what their colour meant to me. I used the flowers themselves to print colour onto the board. A graphite line moves through the piece exploring their outlines.
This piece is painted on plywood, an offcut from our campervan conversion adventure. The edges aren’t as straight as they could be and have a bit of a wobble to them. It will require framing for best presentation

Materials used:

acrylic paint, graphite and coloured pencil
