Wisteria (2019) Photograph by Tatiana Johnson

69 x 99 x 0.1cm / 60.8 x 91.3cm (actual image size)

£633.45

'Wisteria' is part of my earlier photographic series 'Passing Beauty', which explores flowers beyond their conventional association with perfection and idealized beauty.
The image focuses on a cluster of fading wisteria blossoms, photographed at a stage when their form has begun to soften, weaken, and partially disappear. Rather than treating this change as loss, the photograph considers how beauty can remain present through fragility, irregularity, and transformation.

The shallow depth of field and pale background allow the flowers to hover between clarity and dissolution, creating a quiet image that reflects my longstanding interest in transience, partial visibility, and the unstable boundary between presence and disappearance.

'Wisteria' is available as a limited edition of 5, plus 1 artist’s proof. Printed on archival fine art Baryta paper, with an estimated archival life of up to 80 years (under appropriate display conditions).
