On some state owned land near my house, back deep in the woods and away from the road, stands an old oak tree. Its trunk is massive and I cannot even wrap my arms half way around it. Its limbs are far reaching and heavy with age. It stands alone, among the new young growth. It is a testament to what use to be, the last of its kind on these acres of woodlands.
Witness Tree is 14 x 11 inches and was painted plein aire. It is gallery wrapped, wired and ready to hang.
