Winter trees Sunset
The sky came alive,
With illuminated colours,
Pretty pink, delicate blue and a touch of lilac in the sky,
Orange around the yellow sun,
Creating a beautiful moment.

This original watercolour was inspired by noticing a brief sunset through the hedgerow of winter trees where I live in North Dorset.
Original expressive watercolour on extra rough textured watercolour paper acid free bockingford 425gsm 200lb.
I created this painting in the Art Garden Studio and used my visual memory, experience and imagination.
A wet on wet technique for the background, using a three colour technique. Then a dragging technique using Chinese brushes for the trees over the top of the sunset colours.

Extra rough textured watercolour paper bockingford 425gsm 200lb, Holbein watercolours, Chinese brushes, sable hair brush,
