Rich golden yellow,
Amber, duck egg blue sky,
Mauve clouds,
Ruan Minor, Cornish landscape,
Warm and soothing.
Words and experience of my recent Christmas holiday on the Lizard peninsula, South Cornwall.
Original expressive watercolour on cold pressed watercolour paper Fabriano 300gsm 140lb, Inspired by amazing winter sunsets that uplift me in so many ways. I created a YouTube video of this special place and the colours of the sky over the natural landscape I will never forget.
I used a four colour technique controlling the movement of the washes and being precise in where I drop the strength of colour on. Never really knowing how it will dry or what patterns may occur. That’s why watercolour is a very magical medium.

Cold pressed. Watercolour paper. Fabriano 300gsm 140lb, Holbein watercolours, Chinese brushes, sable hair brush, filbert brush,
