A reduction linocut of some trees lit from a passing moment of sun on a winter's day.
***This linocut has made it through the first round of judging for the 2016 Royal Academy Summer Exhibition. It needs delivering to the Royal Academy and then it faces another two rounds of judging. Wish it luck! ***
A reduction print is a relief print formed with layers of colour that are cut and printed from the same block, in this case, from lino. This is one of a small edition of prints, all of which are printed by hand so small variations occur between them making each one truly original.
Printed on Somerset Satin with water-based light-fast inks. Mounted to fit into a standard 12 x 16 inch frame.
