A Limited edition screen print 'Winter Reeds'
The distinctive shape of a cormorant in set against simple silhouettes of winter reeds and grasses. This screen print was inspired by the cormorants that periodically gather in a local wildlife reserve.
Although the cormorant has black feathers, I decided to use the teal background to create a negative space, to really make the shape of the cormorant - with wings outstretched - stand out.
Hand printed in teal, dark blue and black water based inks on high quality 300gsm Fabriano 5 paper.
Limited edition of 6 prints.
Paper size: 50 x 70cm landscape format.
PLEASE NOTE: sold unframed
This print will be rolled in acid free tissue paper and packaged in a strong cardboard tube for delivery.
