Winter landscape lit
A special yellow light,
At sunset to dusk,
Ethereal and glowing,
Watery fields and tree lines,
Dried flora and grasses,
Stour valley, North Dorset.
Words and thoughts of my inspiration.
Original expressive watercolour on cold pressed Saunders Waterford 300gsm 140lb.
Starting with graduated washes for the background light. Working wet on wet, applying with Chinese brushes the different shades for the tree lines and field margins. Movement of pigments when dropping or pressing the colours onto paper. Dragging and scraping the paint for the dried foliage in the foreground.
Signed on the front and back of artwork.
Certificate of authenticity and a personal hand written short poem of my thoughts of this watercolour painting.
