I was inspired by the shade of a Zamioculcas plant that lives in my studio. As I admired the beautiful shadows from the branches, I imagined a flower that looked like a lily. And an orange flower with blue petals was born on paper. It is beautiful. Each painting in this series is exclusive and cannot be repeated.
My watercolors are the world I live in before I paint it.
I paint sunny shadows, real shadows that plants cast. With a brush and watercolor, I turn them into images, into plants that may not exist in nature.
The process of creating each work is a source of inspiration for me.
