I painted this bouquet as a celebration of light, warmth, and the quiet beauty of an ordinary moment. I wanted the golden roses to feel as though they were glowing from within, catching the soft sunlight that enters through the window. Their warm yellows and touches of orange stand out against the cool greens of the garden beyond.

I was drawn to the contrast between the lively, overflowing flowers and the simple earthen vase. The small porcelain cup beside it adds a delicate, intimate touch, suggesting a peaceful moment of afternoon tea. I used loose, expressive brushstrokes to let the petals, leaves, and sunlight remain alive and spontaneous rather than overly defined.

For me, this painting is about finding beauty in stillness—the way a little light can transform a quiet corner into something memorable.
