Working with acrylic on canvas, I layered the composition using palette knife and expressive brushwork, allowing the painting to develop naturally through movement and texture. Shades of deep blue, smoky grey, silver-white, and soft violet create depth and contrast, while delicate ochre accents introduce warmth and luminosity.

The composition is built around a reflective structure, where light appears to dissolve into water-like surfaces. Textured layers, subtle drips, and expressive transitions create rhythm and movement across the canvas, giving the work a strong visual presence while maintaining an airy and atmospheric feeling.

I wanted this painting to feel expansive and immersive — like a fleeting moment suspended between storm and light. Depending on the light within the room, the textured surface reveals changing nuances of blue, lavender, grey, and soft earthy undertones.
