Where Kama meets Toyma (2026) Original Oil Painting by Olga Goryunova
60 x 35 x 2cm (unframed)
£726.61
Original artwork description
Painted en plein air from a high vantage point, this landscape captures the wide expanse where the Tuima and Kama rivers meet.
At the heart of the composition are the lush, voluminous masses of willow trees growing right by the water. Their dense, rounded crowns, like green islands, hover above the river, creating a powerful focal point in the landscape. I wanted to convey the feeling of summer heat, when trees stand in their full strength and thickness, while the river calmly carries its waters into the distance. The lively, textured brushwork helps capture this lushness of greenery and the vastness of the river landscape.
