This painting was made courtesy of great Vienna Photographer - Sascha Domazet. His photo was captured in the Night on Island Pag, Croatia. The scene looks almost unreal for the Night. and he new I would be chalenged - So he offered me to paint it! The Lights coming from distance lit the whole landscape and the sky. From the photo he took I made this painting as a adition to my Series Fealds and Colors, as my Motif in it is the light coming from darkness. He named the Painting When the night makes the lines - describes his feeling of the moment in 3 A.M somewhere on Island Pag. If you see the close ups of the painting- I made some scratching while painting it . The highlights are stuning in nature!
This painting another one in my series " Fields and colors". I used dark gray primed canvases and with palette knives and vivid colors shaped the fields. With the dark clouds from approaching storm, the field colors are more brighter and this trettening atmosphere makes the nature more beautiful.
I used impressionistic movements with my palette knifes and exploratory colors to try to re-capture the sense of adventure and discovery ..
