What is left after all the passing seasons of the year- December.The darkest time and quiet time where all of nature slows down.The colours in the fields are rusty and earthy shades down in the 'Blackmore vale' of North Dorset .The soil is clayey where they had ploughed in september ,where the grass was lush -green it is now bronzed with gold.This to me is far more interesting than just a green landscape.
I painted a tranquil pale peach in the sky ,horizon ,field and for texture grasses.
Acid free rough textured watercolour paper thick like card ,Windsor and Newton paints,Chinese bamboo brush ,hogs hair ,Chinese hake and sable brushes.Wet in wet technique and flick up and dragging technique.
