Artwork description
Description
Paradise presents a hyper-saturated vision of pleasure, excess and collapse. Around a decaying roadside motel, glamorous figures inhabit an absurd world of a burning pink piano, damaged cars, artificial flowers, inflatable toys, fire and debris. Yet nobody seems particularly disturbed by the surrounding catastrophe.
Combining staged photography, pop aesthetics, surrealism and cinematic spectacle, the work plays with the contradiction between glamour and destruction. Bright commercial colours and seductive imagery transform disaster into entertainment, creating a fictional paradise where celebration continues even as the environment falls apart.

aluminium Dibond 3 mm
