Waterlily (2016) Linocut by Alexandra Buckle

A mini reduction linocut of a pale yellow waterlily flower floating on a pond. The inspiration for this print came from the Botanic Gardens in Oxford and a life long love of Monet's water lilies. This is my fourth water lily inspired piece.

A reduction lino print is formed with layers of colour that are cut and printed from the same block. These linocuts are printed by hand so small variations occur between them making each one truly original.

This work is printed with water-based, light-fast inks on Somerset Satin paper and has a beautiful matt finish. It is numbered, titled and signed at the bottom, mounted in a neutral colour and wrapped in cellophane to keep it clean. The mounted work will fit in a 7x8inch frame.

This artwork will be packaged in a bubble envelope with plenty of card support for safety.

Materials used:

Printed on Somerset Satin with water-based light-fast inks. Mounted to fit into a 7 x 8 inch frame.
