This piece began with the feeling of holding on to a vision that hasn't come to fruition.
The woman sits still, wrapped in a gown that pours down like a mountain of deep blue. To me the blue is the emotional body, the part of us that feels everything while we wait. Running through it are small golden flames, because even in the stillness there is life moving, energy rising, a fire that never actually goes out.
Behind her, a large yellow flower opens like light breaking through - representsing the dream itself in her vision.
She also holds energy in her hands showing potential for creating.
