The picture was created after my trip to the Canarian Islands. I was in awe of the nature of this region. In the picture I showed the power of male energy through the image of a volcano. The power of female energy symbolizes the image of a woman with plants on her head. In the picture I used different types of oil paint: a thicker paint creates a sense of relief, and a more liquid one gives the energy of a volcano erupting lava. I like to combine thin layers of paint with thick layers of paint in my paintings.
