"Veil of Memory" is an original mixed media artwork that explores the delicate relationship between memory, nature, and the passage of time.

Created from my original black and white photograph of a winter tree, this piece is layered with vintage lace to create a translucent veil across the landscape. The intricate lace softens the stark branches while adding depth, texture, and a sense of history. The contrast between the enduring tree and the fragile textile speaks to resilience—how memories fade yet continue to shape us.

Its neutral palette and tactile surface make Veil of Memory a calming statement piece, equally suited to contemporary, minimalist, Scandinavian, or farmhouse interiors.

Each artwork is handmade in my Christchurch, New Zealand studio and is one of a kind.
