Vase Composition V’25 presents a refined meditation on form, material, and balance, where the language of still life is reduced to its most essential gesture.
A single, continuous line traces the silhouette of a vessel, unfolding across a field of natural linen. This line, both deliberate and fluid, does not merely define the object—it establishes a rhythm, guiding the viewer through a spatial composition where presence and absence coexist.
The surface is constructed through the punch needle technique, using alpaca and wool fibers to build a subtle relief. Variations in density, direction, and texture create a tactile landscape that interacts softly with light, allowing the work to shift in perception over time.
The composition rests upon a structured base of layered tones, introducing a quiet contrast between grounded geometry and the organic fluidity of the drawn form. Surrounding this central image, the textured borders articulate a controlled yet dynamic field, reinforcing the balance between order and irregularity.
