Perhaps it was because of all the wilderness construction videos I had watched that I wanted to build my own little underground shelter, at least in a painting.
The entrance is hidden beneath a giant tree, concealed within a maze of roots. A narrow pathway leads to a drainage system that connects to an underground water network. From there, you enter the storage room on the base floor. At the far end, a ladder allows you to climb to the upper floor, where you will find a cozy living room furnished with a fireplace, a chair, and some books to read. The room also features a ventilation system. A chimney extends outside, once again passing through the tree roots. Behind a small door in the living room is another room where you can sleep.
Because I was born in the Year of the Rat in the Chinese zodiac, I chose to place a mouse wearing pajamas in the shelter—safe, warm, relaxed, and out of sight.

Although I tried my best to match the digital image the same as actual painting but the color may vary due to different monitor and monitor settings. Please be aware of this fact.
Hope you enjoy this one. :D
