The picture depicts the word - ultramarine ულტრამარინი in Georgian.
My work is based on fabric: linen and cotton—tactile, physically perceptible. These materials resonate with me, immersing me in the process. I apply silicone, resin, and acrylic paints to them. It's important to me that the image be felt—that the color has weight, that the viewer wants to touch it.
I use Georgian fonts and text encoded on the canvas; the text seems to hang in the air, dissolving in the rhythm of the form, yet retaining its presence.
