Mid century composition influence with muted but colourful mark making to brighten your mood in these modern times of uncertainly. Look closely and will see symbols representing the four elements, air, water, fire & earth. I am interested in complementary colours and colour discords and how these can affect our emotions.
I strive to achieve balanced composition using these colour manipulations. If you study my artworks you will note that the larger paintings can be divided up equally into smaller paintings that stand alone successfully; this demonstrates my commitment to finding the perfect balanced composition.
The painting incorporates a spectrum of blues and a hint of yellow which will complement the current trend for darker colours & interiors.
