Pink, red, and blue petals replace an ordinary blush, as if spring decided to stay in her skin forever. A small bird rests quietly on top of her head, a gentle guardian of her calm, while a blue flower reaches in from the side, almost touching her cheek.

This naive-style female portrait needs no name or timeline — she could be anyone, or all of us. Thick, textured strokes of acrylic build up layer by layer across the canvas, giving the piece a tactile, almost sculptural quality up close. I paint this way after years of rigid academic training — the day I stopped following rules and let color take over completely.
