Hummingbirds have a long history of folklore and symbolism in native cultures. The Aztecs saw them as messengers between them and their ancestors or the gods. In Native American culture, Hummingbirds are seen as healers, and bringers of love, good luck and joy.
Butterflies are the universal symbol of the human spirit.
This painting is created in several layers of oil paints, with palette knives and fine brushes in loose strokes. On a traditional canvas and painted around the sides. There is a mixture of reality and fantasy in a tropical mixture of colours and textures. A sprinkle of Diamond Dust by Culture Hustle and gold leaf add sparkle and magic to this dazzling composition.
