A tiger gecko rests on a broad blue-green leaf beneath a silver sky heavy with the promise of rain. I often paint the rain; I love it dearly, especially in the tropics. I like the scent of wet earth, plants, and flowers. And I also love the soft, grayish light when the sun is hidden behind the clouds.
