Original artwork description
Acrylic on deep sided panel. 12 x 9 inches. This small painting makes use of a high horizon line to create a sense of distance. I use this sort of composition a lot in my work because I enjoy exploring what can happen in the foreground. In this painting I liked the idea of using a rich raspberry red and juxtaposing it with a strong blue. With acrylic paint I find that I can be more experimental with colour as it dries so quickly. So, for example, if I don’t think one particular colour is working then it is very straightforward to paint it out and start over. Please be aware that colours may differ slightly from one computer to another. The painting is sold UNFRAMED and can be hung direct on a painting hook.
