Part of my ongoing exploration of peaceful landscapes, Time to Rest captures a quiet coastal moment where land, sea, and sky dissolve into soft light.

The expansive shoreline stretches toward distant cliffs, while tiny figures walking along the beach emphasize the vastness and serenity of the landscape. Built with expressive palette knife work and subtle layers of oil paint, the textured surface reflects changing light throughout the day, revealing delicate shifts of color and atmosphere.

Rather than describing a specific location, this painting evokes a universal feeling—the moment when the day's pace slows, the sea becomes calm, and there is nothing left to do except breathe, reflect, and simply be present.

Its restrained palette of warm earth tones, soft blues, and gentle ivory light creates a timeless atmosphere that complements both contemporary and classic interiors.
