Low Stock Eight of Ten prints now sold.

A large reduction linocut of the beach at robin Hood's Bay in Yorkshire. The tide has receded to reveal a dark band of seaweed and several large boulders. A pool of water on the rippled sandy beach reflects the bright clouds in the sky.

Such a wide expanse of beach, sea and sky imposes an element of quiet contemplation and reflection.

A reduction lino print is formed with several layers of colour which are cut and printed from the same block of lino. I print all of my work by hand, in very limited editions. Small variations do occur between them but this just serves to make each individual print truly original.

This work is printed with water-based, light-fast inks on Somerset Satin paper and has a beautiful matt finish. It is numbered, titled and signed at the bottom, mounted in a neutral colour and wrapped in cellophane to keep it clean.

This artwork will be packaged in a bubble envelope with plenty of card support for safety.
