It is Sidney Nolan's centenary this year. This painting of a whippet at the folly at Wimpole Hall, Cambridgeshire UK is with reference to his painting of the Dog and the Moon.

If you love evocative paintings with a lot of contrast this one is for you. The surface is textured with pallet knife strokes. Shades of maroon and deep blue add to the blacks and the whites.
