Original artwork description
The Siren's Song explores the irresistible pull of desire—the mysterious force that calls us beyond safety, reason, and certainty. Inspired by the ancient myth of the sirens, the piece reflects the moments in life when we are drawn toward something unknown, compelled by intuition, curiosity, or longing.
Soft oceanic blues flow alongside pale, weathered surfaces, evoking sea cliffs shaped by wind and water. The fissures and openings within the form suggest passages between the visible and the hidden, the conscious and the unconscious. Though delicate in appearance, the sculpture speaks of resilience: a vessel transformed by the journey rather than protected from it.
Hand-built in ceramic, The Siren's Song invites contemplation of the voices we choose to follow and the transformations they awaken within us.
