The Purple Universe (2026) Original Mixed-media Painting by Olga Onopko

The paintings are created on thin mirrored plastic panels. In some areas, the paint layer is absent, revealing the mirror surface. They can be displayed either vertically or horizontally. Each piece is signed by the artist on the front and can stand alone as a separate work of art. I was inspired to create these works by this intriguing mirrored surface. It reminded me of something cosmic, perhaps the origins of the universe. Perhaps of unusual living creatures that do not exist in the real world. But some may see here a floral arrangement, floating petals, or something personal. The edges of each panel are heavily rounded; the dimensions are stated without taking this into account.
