Original artwork description
In this work, I explore the idea that a familiar place can suddenly feel different. The composition developed freely, through layers of colour, overlapping forms and changes made along the way. Some areas remain open, while others are dense and fragmented.
For me, the painting is about that strange moment when you look at something familiar and see it differently. Nothing has actually changed, but your perception of it has. This is where the title The Other Side of Here comes from.
The painting is finished with a protective satin varnish and presented in a custom textured floating frame, hand-finished by me specifically for this work. The frame is included in the price.
