The messenger (2026) Original Acrylic Painting by Lola Juan

120 x 100 x 3.5cm (unframed)

£371.86

This piece grew out of an exploration of harmony between humanity and nature, capturing a quiet, fleeting moment of trust between a person and the natural world. I wanted to materialize the feeling of holding a delicate thought gently in your hand without letting it fly away. I was inspired by the concept of rebirth and inner growth. The lush array of vibrant flora woven directly into the flowing red hair symbolizes thoughts blooming in real time, while the small, red-breasted songbird perched on her index finger represents gentle communication and living inspiration. What makes this painting special is the profound, quiet intimacy in her downward gaze. Set against a muted, earthy green foliage backdrop, the rich pinks, oranges, and purples in her hair pop with life, creating a peaceful, sanctuary-like atmosphere that radiates warmth and gentle connection.

Materials used:

Acrylic and texture paste on canvas.
