Artwork description:

The Lotus flower is regarded in many different (buddhist) cultures as a symbol of purity, enlightenment, self-regeneration and rebirth. Its characteristics are a perfect analogy for the human condition: even when its roots are in the dirtiest waters, the Lotus produces the most beautiful flower.

The original photograph was taken in Hanoi, Vietnam. It is part of my award-winning series The Lotus Lake. This series won Honorable Mentions at the International Photography Awards 2013 and was published in many art magazines and national news, including Vogue Italia, Widewalls, Vietnam News, El Economista etc. The series was exhibited in Paris, Madrid, Ducal Palace of Medinaceli (Spain), and especially at Saatchi Gallery in London, and auctioned by Christie's Hong Kong.

This photograph was part of my solo exhibition "The Female Gaze" which took place at Ducal Palace of Medinaceli, Spain in November 2021.

The photograph is sold framed in a rustic vintage style frame, ready to hang. The photograph size is 32 x 48 cm (12.6'' x 18.9'')and after framing the total size is 42 x 58 x 3 cm (16.5'' x 22.8'' x 1.2'').
