Original artwork description
This figurative sculpture has been created from one while 7" vinyl music record (Timbuk 3 - The Future's So Bright I Gotta Wear Shades), and mounted upon a 10 x 7.5 x 4cm clear acrylic block with yellow perspex shelf. The liquid-like form has been created using various heat sources. The modern materials maintain a fine art aesthetic.
Each figurative, contemporary sculpture from the "REmuse" series is sculpted from one whole 7" or 12" vinyl record, with nothing added and nothing removed from the original material - function becomes form.
