Original artwork description
Part of Alexander Levich’s Twenty Minutes of One Evening series, The Frame explores the experience of being physically immersed within the landscape.
Viewed from an unusually low perspective, the composition places the viewer among dried grasses and wild vegetation, looking towards a distant horizon through a natural screen of stems and branches. Sunlight moves through the scene in luminous diagonal bands, transforming ordinary details into a rich interplay of light, texture and atmosphere.
The work recalls aspects of Impressionist painting and the intimate observational quality found in certain landscapes by Andrew Wyeth. Levich focuses less on describing a location and more on capturing a moment of heightened awareness within nature.
At 80x150 cm, the panoramic format enhances the immersive quality of the work and invites viewers to experience the landscape from within rather than from a distance. This artwork has been sold. Please contact regarding comparable works by the artist.
