Original artwork description:

Imagine getting away and having some time to yourself, just you on your own, time to be at one with your thoughts and get perspective on your life well that's what inspired this painting. It's all about relaxing somewhere beautiful, opening the window to the fresh warm summer air and taking time to experiment and contemplate.

I've created this piece on a beautiful 18 x24 inch cradled panel using acrylic paint and oil pastels and pencils, it is unframed and ready to hang.

To produce the lovely textures and feel of this painting I have sanded and scraped the surface and built up layers of colour then sealed it with wax.

This is a gentle uplifting still life painting a reminder to give ourselves time and enjoy what we have.
