I’m sure there’s a story that goes with this one, but I leave that to the viewers’ imagination. This went on a bit of a journey, from fairly monochromatic photo to bright coloured underpainting, to flattened shapes, then back to a more subdued palette. These colours seems evocative of colonial Asia, though I can’t put my finger on exactly why. Gin & tonic, sir?
