Morning. The sea shimmers in the sunlight, waves rolling gently around the woman’s feet as she stands on the shore, gazing into the distance. Her thoughts wander somewhere far away — toward journeys, dreams, and a life that might be waiting beyond the horizon. And suddenly, something appears in the sky that definitely should not be part of this landscape.

The flying saucer has not come for her. The aliens are taking the dolphins. But why dolphins? Perhaps they consider them the most intelligent creatures on Earth. Perhaps they simply want to get to know them better. Or maybe they have finally decided to find out why humans are so fascinated by watching dolphins in aquariums.

The woman is not frightened. On the contrary, she is captivated by what she sees. She gazes at the strange spacecraft and the sea, and a thought gradually begins to form in her mind: what if she wants to go with them too? Perhaps, somewhere deep inside, a dreamy little voice is already whispering: “Take me with you!”

Perhaps the UFO just happened to appear here. Or perhaps the woman has been waiting for this sign for a very long time.

This is the essence of the mood behind the series “The Unexplained Is Near”, part of the larger cycle “When Worlds Collide.” Here, the extraordinary does not disrupt reality — it becomes a natural part of it. The impossible happens in the middle of an ordinary day, and instead of fear, it awakens curiosity, dreams, and the desire to take a step toward the unknown.

About artist:

Irina creates artworks in a decorative style, likes to experiment with materials: mosaics, precious stones, glass, paints, texture, etc.

The artist participated in 23 exhibitions in the USA, Canada, Russia, China and Europe.

In addition, Irina was awarded the diplomas "Best Works of 2016", "Best Works of 2019", a special diploma for creativity (International Association VATIKAM, France, Paris) and has a letter of thanks from the Luxembourg Art Prize.
