The reduction in pollution levels during the Lockdown in the UK produced the most beautiful skies I have ever seen in an urban environment. This painting forms part of a series of skyscapes, or nocturnes, that I witnessed from my home. The part below the horizon in all of the paintings in the series is imagined, either a lake, landscape or, in this case, a seascape with the last light of the setting sun forming a strip of warm light along the horizon.
The piece is painted using exceptional quality Old Holland and Winsor and Newton Artists' series oil paints and mediums with the highest ratings of permanence and light-fastness. The painting is on professional quality fine grain canvas panel by Belle Arti and is signed on the reverse.
The painting will be packaged following best-practice guidelines and despatched by signed for and fully tracked courier. The painting is signed on the reverse and comes with a certificate of authenticity.
