Words and feelings of the landscape on the outskirts of Shaftesbury, North Dorset.
Original expressive watercolour on extra rough textured watercolour paper bockingford 425gsm 200lb.
I used a Gamboge yellow for the sunset sky. White the paper is wet all over I create a baseline or a definite platform mixing red yellow and blue together to make a charcoal colour.
I tip very carefully and control where the pigments go over the light. To form natural shapes and patterns of the landscape. This is one of my favourite techniques as it’s so spontaneous and exciting to watch the nature forms.
