Sunrise over North Dorset
A new day,
The sun has risen,
Above the hills,
The earthy purple clouds,
Cherishing this special time.
Words and feelings
Of seeing this from where I live in Shaftesbury, North Dorset.
Original expressive watercolour on extra rough textured watercolour paper bockingford 300gsm 140lb.
I used a wet on wet technique using layers of washes and dropped the sun in first and moved the paper across to soften out the pigment. Then carefully added the clouds around the sunrise.
I enjoy very much creating Sunsets and Sunrises and will continue to show the beauty of what is around me.

Extra rough textured watercolour paper bockingford 300gsm 140lb, Windsor and Newton watercolours, Sable hair brush, filbert brush,
